I've been looking at old pictures of my farming family recently, no reason really, and I've also been reading about hedges.
The last of my 'farming' family is now buried, most were men of few words; good men.
They could all 'Hedge' a skill they assumed was part of farming. I decided to make a hedge piece to commemorate both them and their skills.
I planted a short hawthorn hedge on my allotment in 2021 and grew it between two sheets of glass, it grew quite well in the spring of 2024 I dug it up and pressed it onto a sheet of aluminium.
